Why now

Why an internal reporting channel is essential today.

Obligation

A legal obligation

The statutory implementation deadline has already passed. Companies with 50 or more employees are generally required to set up an internal reporting channel.

Culture

Building trust

Employees need a safe and confidential way to raise concerns internally.

Early warning

Spotting risks early

Early reports let companies identify risks before they grow into bigger challenges.

Product

From arrival to resolution.

Secure reporting, confidential communication, structured case handling – in one process.

Report

Confidential from the first click

An email to HR carries your own name in the sender — enough to make most people think twice. That's why the Whistleblower Protection Act requires a channel that guarantees confidentiality technically. Employees open it by QR code or link, with no account and no app, and decide for themselves whether to give their name. The print-ready poster comes included.

Intake

Acknowledgement and feedback in view

The moment a report comes in, the statutory deadlines start: seven days to acknowledge receipt, ninety to give feedback. Trulane reminds you by email in good time — you don't have to log in to know something is due.

Handle

Anonymous doesn't mean silent

Through the secured chat you talk with the reporting person, even if they stayed anonymous — their identity stays protected, even from you. Internal notes are kept separate and are never visible to the reporter. Several case handlers can share the same case.

Prove

Documented without gaps

Every action is logged: who did what and when, when receipt was acknowledged, and when feedback was sent. When management, auditors, or the works council ask, you have the answer in writing.

Security

Security as the foundation.

Trulane was built for particularly sensitive information — with consistent data protection, clear access rights, and accountable case handling.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about anonymous reports, security, setup, and case handling.

Trulane is designed for companies with 50 or more employees that are required under the HinweisgeberInnenschutzgesetz (Austrian Whistleblower Protection Act, HSchG) to operate an internal reporting channel. It's built for Austrian companies with 50 to 250 employees in particular – organisations that must meet this legal obligation but don't have a dedicated compliance department.

With an anonymous report, no personal data is collected at all – not even an IP address. The reporting person remains technically unidentifiable. With a confidential report, the person provides their name and contact details. These are visible only to authorised case handlers and are stored encrypted. In both cases, secure two-way communication is possible.

Yes. After submitting a report, the reporting person receives a one-time access code. They can use it to revisit the case at any time, check its status, read follow-up questions, and reply securely – without revealing their identity.

The access code can't be recovered. That's intentional: if there were a way to recover it, a link between the person and the case would have to be stored – and for anonymous reports, that link must not exist. The report itself remains in place and continues to be handled. To communicate again, a new report referencing the original one can be submitted.

Only the people you designate as case handlers. You define roles and permissions yourself. Every change to a case is logged and cannot be altered afterwards.

The law requires an acknowledgment within seven days and feedback within three months. Trulane calculates both deadlines automatically from the moment a report arrives, displays them in the dashboard, and flags approaching deadlines in good time.

Your reports and attachments are stored and processed exclusively in Frankfurt – there is no transfer to third countries. Transmission and storage are encrypted.

You can try Trulane free for three months, no credit card required. There's no minimum term and no notice period – you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
